Need Hope?

Discover The Anchor

We are a community of people passionately following Jesus through the church that He started in the first century. No matter where you are on your spiritual journey, we welcome you to join us!

About Us

  • Where we meet

We meet on Sundays at 11 am.
    Location:
    Anchor Community Center
    149 Acadie Street, Richibucto, NB E4W 3V5

  • what to expect

At Richibucto Church, you will see people wearing casual clothes, suits and everything in-between. You will notice people sitting, standing, clapping, singing, and raising their hands in worship. Our worship is a sincere response to the presence of God that we feel. After a few minutes of singing, our pastor will teach a Bible lesson while children and youth are dismissed to age appropriate classes.  We usually conclude the service with prayer.

We hope you feel right at home from the moment you first arrive and every time you return!

  • who we are

For many people, “Pentecostal” is a new word. Although it has become much more common in recent years, its roots go back to an ancient Jewish feast and, more recently, to the first outpouring of the Holy Spirit on the earliest Christian believers. Because this initial outpouring of the Spirit took place on the Day of Pentecost (Acts chapter 2), those who experience a similar infilling of the Spirit are known as Pentecostals.

The Richibucto Church is an extension of The Pentecostals of Miramichi (miramichichurch.com)
and affiliated with the United Pentecostal Church International (upci.org)

  • what we believe

We believe the Bible is the infallible Word of God and the authority for salvation and Christian living. (II Timothy 3:15-17.)

We belive there is one God, who has revealed Himself as our Father, in His Son Jesus Christ, and as the Holy Spirit.
Jesus Christ is God manifested in flesh. He is both God and man.
    (See Deuteronomy 6:4; Ephesians 4:4-6; Colossians 2:9; I Timothy 3:16.)

We believe the saving gospel is the good news that Jesus died for our sins, was buried, and rose again. We obey the gospel (II Thessalonians 1:8; I Peter 4:17) by repentance (death to sin), water baptism in the name of Jesus Christ (burial), and the baptism of the Holy Spirit with the initial sign of speaking in tongues as the Spirit gives the utterance (resurrection).
    (See I Corinthians 15:1-4; Acts 2:4, 37-39; Romans 6:3-4.)
